Sanquelim: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant urged citizens to cooperate with the authorities in keeping Sanquelim clean and beautiful while various development works are underway in the town.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration of a small market pavilion at Jogdyachi Hali, Sanquelim. He said that nearly 80 per cent of the planned development works in Sanquelim have already been completed, and informed that road widening and road concreting works would be taken up in the near future.
Later, addressing a gathering at the Valvanti riverfront project event, Dr Sawant laid the foundation stone for the Rejuvenation and Development of the Valvanti River stretch in Sankhali under the AMRUT 2.0 Mission.
The Chief Minister said the project aims to revitalise the Valvanti riverfront, enhance the natural beauty of the region and strengthen the tourism potential of Sankhali.
He added that the initiative would also improve the overall quality of life for local residents by creating better public spaces and improving urban infrastructure.
Dr Sawant reiterated the government’s commitment to balanced and sustainable development while ensuring environmental protection and public participation in keeping urban areas clean and well-maintained.
