Panaji: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Friday said that all three linear projects are requirwd doe the State and the government has placdd the facta bwfore Central Empowered Committee (CEC).
In an interview on Doordarshan, Sawant asserted that all projects are in the interest of Goa and govt will go ahead with the projects.
“We will take stakeholders into confidence,” he said.
He said government has put all the facts before CEC.
“People opposing the projects should also tell CEC what they plan to do after two years if there is electricity shortage. Then they ahould not blame Goa government,” he said.
CEC constituted by the Supreme Court of India has started the site inspection of the three linear projects passing through Goa and Karnataka forests from Jan 21.
