With 16 people succumbing so far in the State due COVID19, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday said the co-morbid conditions of the patients to be blamed for the deaths.
“See, 4-5 patients had cancer and co-morbid condition, besides eight to 10 had co-morbid conditions and were above 75 to 80 years,” he said.
He said he has called for a total review of the deaths and will try to work on it.
Earlier, in the day Dr Edwin Gomes, who was Goa’s hero against COVID19 tested positive for the virus.
Dr Edwin had returned home just last week after three months in COVID hospital saving patients.
When asked about his condition, Dr Sawant said he has no knowledge and will inquire about that.
Meanwhile, Goa reported two deaths early this morning A 57 yr old from Mangor and another 60-year-old patient from Vasco died due to Covid.
