Panaji: Stating that the State’s case very strong in Supreme Court, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Friday ruled out the court settlement in the Mhadei case.
“We have challenged the Mhadei Water Dispute Tribunal Award in the Supreme Court and hence there is question of out of court discussion or settlement on the issue,” he said.
The CM also rejected rumours of his discussions on Mhadei issue with the special representative of the government of Karnataka in New Delhi Shankargouda Patel.
Earlier this week, the Karnataka Special representative met CM and the Opposition MLAs were quick to demand an explanation on the discussion with the official.
