Margao: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has said that the act of the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant of calling Government Officers to the Margao BJP Office is clear violation of Model Code of Conduct.
“The Chief Minister must come clean and make public the number of Goans who got Government jobs after the Zilla Panchayat Elections,” demanded Margao Block Congress Committee President Gopal Naik.
He was reacting to the visit of the Chief Minister to BJP’s South Goa District office and his meetings with various sections of the society in the official capacity as the Chief Minister and reiterating his promise of giving 10000 jobs.
“How can the Chief Minister call all those people who had taken his appointment of Official Capacity to BJP Office,” questioned Gopal Naik and demanded that SEC must act against Dr. Pramod Sawant.
He said the Congress condemns the high handedness of Dr. Pramod Sawant for pressurising the Government Officers to remain present in the BJP Office.
“The excuse given by the Chief Minister that he shifted the venue of his “Janata Darbar” from South Goa District Collectorate Office to BJP District Office due to Model Code of Conduct in force exposes his intellectual bankruptcy and lack of knowledge in administration,” charged Gopal Naik.
The Chief Ministers statement has vindicated the charge of the Congress Party that BJP considers itself above the Constitution of India, he said.
“The entire BJP has mastered the art of luring the voters with “Fake Promises” and “Jumlaz”. We dare the Chief Minister to make public how many Government jobs are given to the youths of Goa after his announcement of 10,000 Government jobs during the Zilla Panchayat Elections,” stated Gopal Naik.
He further says it is unfortunate that the bankrupt BJP Government has not paid monthly pensions to various beneficiaries for last 6 months.
“The High Court had to intervene and give orders to the Government to clear the outstanding dues of pension to Persons with Disabilities. This exposes the true face of the insensitive BJP Government,” said Gopal Naik.
“We now want to see what action the State Election Commission takes against the Chief Minister for clear violation of Model Code of Conduct,” stated Gopal Naik.
