VASCO: Coast Guard Goa conducted an institutional visit for 54 B.E. Aeronautical students from NIT Coimbatore. The visit aimed to provide the students with an in-depth understanding of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and its aviation wing.
During the interaction, officers from Coast Guard Aeronautical Services (CGAIS)Goa briefed the students on the ICG charter, the significance of the Coast Guard Air Arm, and its core competence in major maintenance and quality assurance services. Additionally, they discussed the vibrant career opportunities available in the ICG.
The visit also emphasized the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative and the crucial role young minds can play in innovation and nation-building. The students were encouraged to develop their skills to meet the future requirements of the aviation industry. The students actively participated in the interaction and showed a keen interest in learning more about the ICG.
