VERNA: A container truck carrying crates of Coca-Cola overturned at Verna junction on Thursday morning, leading to major traffic disruption during peak hours.
The truck, loaded with hundreds of Coca-Cola crates from the Verna industrial area, was reportedly on its way to Bangalore when the accident occurred. The impact caused several crates to spill onto the road, creating a mess and forcing motorists to move their vehicles aside.
Office-goers and daily commuters were left stranded as a long line of traffic built up at the busy junction. Verna police promptly reached the scene and initiated clearing operations to remove the debris and restore normal traffic flow.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the incident. However, several passersby were seen taking advantage of the situation, carrying away crates on their bikes and in cars before authorities could fully secure the area.
Traffic movement was gradually restored after the road was cleared.
