VERNA: The Verna Police have arrested a resident of Colva in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl in Cortalim.
According to police reports, the complaint was lodged by the mother of the survivor. The complaint states that the alleged incident occurred between December 25, 2025, and December 28, 2025.
The complainant has alleged that the accused engaged in forceful sexual intercourse with her minor daughter without her consent at midnight during the mentioned period in Cortalim.
Acting on the complaint, the police apprehended the accused. The investigation is currently in progress and is being led by Lady Police Sub-Inspector (LPSI) Pramila Fernandes of the Verna Police Station. The police are conducting further inquiries into the matter.
