COLVALE: The Colvale Primary Health Centre has added a new feather to its cap by earning the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification, making it the second non-bedded primary health centre in North Goa to achieve this distinction. The assessment was carried out on May 19 and 20, 2025, by a team of experts from the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi. The PHC secured an impressive score of 81.19 percent and was officially recognized with the NQAS certification on June 6, 2025.
In addition to this milestone, the PHC has also been awarded the Kayakalp Certification as a commendation award for the year 2024–2025, in recognition of the performance of the Rural Medical Dispensary at Revora, which operates under the Colvale PHC. The staff of the PHC further showcased their commitment to public health through creative outreach, securing second place in a street play competition organized by the Directorate of Health Services on the occasion of National Girl Child Day. Their dedicated efforts were also appreciated under the TB Mukt Panchayat initiative, highlighting the centre’s continued contribution to health promotion and disease prevention at the grassroots level.
