VASCO: Vasco police Inspector Kapil Nayak along with the staff of Vasco police station, conducted area combing exercises in Mangor, New Vadem, Sainagar, and Shantinagar areas to prevent an increasing number of crimes and also to keep a vigil on street drinkers.
Vasco police have rolled up their sleeves to curb the rising cases of crimes in their jurisdiction. On Friday evening, Vasco police inspector Kapil Nayak took a step towards conducting a surprise combing exercise in various areas in the jurisdiction of the Vasco police station.
When contacted Inspector Kapil Nayak and questioned why he decided to undertake such an initiative, he informed that considering the crimes happening in some areas of Vasco, mostly the assault, theft, and fights between the groups, I decided to undertake this combing exercise and observe the situation in certain areas such as Mangor, New Vaddem, Sainagar and Shantinagar.
He further said that it had been observed that some youths unnecessarily assemble at certain locations and indulge in eve-teasing and street drinking, leading to group fights and assault. Today around four to five individuals who were street drinkers were brought to the police station.
Nayak also said that shortly there would be many more surprise combing exercises by the Vasco police.
