VASCO: Mormugao Councillor Saifullah Khan on Wednesday has written to the state government to conduct 100 percent testing in Mangor Hill, Vasco Containment Zone failing which he will be compelled to hold indefinite protest of hunger strike from August 3.
In a letter in to the state government, Khan said that grievances of the residents of Mangor Hill are not taken up seriously.
“Every time the people of the locality are given false promises since 2 months making the lives miserable. It is again given to understand that another promise had been made.” Said Khan
He added, “If our demand to conduct 100 percent testing in Mangor Hill, Vasco Containment Zone is not done by August 2nd, we will be compelled to hold indefinite protest of hunger strike from August 3.’
