Panaji – Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat has strongly condemned the statement made by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman promising free Covid vaccines to Bihar as BJP’s first poll promise for the upcoming Assembly Elections in the State.
In a strongly worded tweet, Digambar Kamat said “After Financial bankruptcy, now Mental bankruptcy comes to the fore with Union Finance Minister @nsitharaman pushing @BJP4Goa agenda of “Business from People’s Sickness”. #CovidVaccine is right of every citizen & no one can play politics about it by being selective.
The entire world has suffered due to Covid pandemic. It is unfortunate that Union Finance Minister is politicising the deadly covid pandemic and uses the vaccine which is yet to come to gain political mileage in Bihar elections. Who authorised BJP Government to be selective in distribution of vaccine and on what basis questioned Digambar Kamat.
He said Union Finance Minister must explain whether she expects others States to pay for the vaccine or BJP wants people from other States to wait till their respective elections to get the so-called Covid Vaccine.
I want to remind the finance minister that before giving new promises, please ensure that the previous ones are fulfilled. Till date, BJP is doing Jumla Politics eyeing each & every election in the country by making fake promises. People have realised the Politricks of BJP claimed Digambar Kamat.
Goa is awaiting its rightful share of GST for past so many months from the Centre. Senior Citizens, Widows, PsWD, Seafarers and others in Goa are waiting for their timely monthly pensions as the local BJP government has gone bankrupt and no aid coming from Centre said Digambar Kamat.
