VASCO: The South Goa BJP candidate Pallavi Dempo kick-started election campaign after offering prayers at the Damodar Temple in Vasco.
Dempo was welcomed by a huge group of karyakartas and BJP mahila morcha members as she entered the temples with many people even showering petals as she walked towards the temple .
Rajyasabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, Vasco BJP mandal president Deepak Naik and others were also present as the campaigning began from Vasco.
Speaking to media later, Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that he was very confident that both the seats of the BJP would be elected with a huge margin in the upcoming MP Elections.
“We have kick started our campaign from Vasco in South Goa after offering prayers at Damodar Temple and we had also started our assembly elections campaign from here as well. We have different programs and Pallavi Dempo will be in Vasco and Dabolim constituency today thereafter we will go to Ponda and Shiroda constituency tomorrow along with CM Dr Pramod Sawant,” he said.
“We will cover all the constituency in South Goa by 5th April. We will also meet all our main karyakartas and will have another round across the South Goa after she files her nomination where she will start meeting people, he said.
Tanavade said they are very confident that we will win the South Goa seat because there is a lot of enthusiasm in the karyakartas and the people who have decided to get the BJP elected and help PM Narendra Modi lead the country again.
“We have also had a meeting with our partners like MGP and independent MLAs who have assured us all the support to our candidates,” said Tanavade.

“We have started our campaign from Vasco after offering prayers at the Damodar Temple and I pray for a good well being of all the Goans,” said Dempo.
Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar also spoke on the occasion.
