PONDA: MGP young candidate for Ponda Constituency Dr Ketan Bhatikar said he had conducted two rounds of campaigning and covered door to door campaigns in houses in Ponda Constituency.
Dr Ketan Bhatikar confidently replied of winning the Ponda Seat with a comfortable margin of votes.
Dr Ketan Bhatikar vision for Ponda City is to provide better health facilities at Ponda Sub District Hospital, Underground cabling, create employment opportunities for youths and women with proper skill training, solve traffic congestion, solve traffic congestion parking problems and resolve issues affecting citizens are the key priorities.
With regard to Curti-Khandepar Panchayat, Dr Bhatikar’s vision is to bifurcate this panchayat into two Panchayats, namely Curti and Khandepar Panchayat, which will benefit people and panchayat for administrative work. He also said that Curti needs better facilities at Crematorium and sports ground to achieve.
Dr Bhatikar was appointed as Ponda MGP after former MLA Lavu Mamlatdar lost the election in 2017. Since then, Dr Bhatikar past has constantly been working for five years is the base for his victory.
His supporters said he is a good social worker.
“During Covid 19 pandemic time, everyone was scared of Covid, and nobody was for help. Dr Ketan Bhatikar personally met them and even hospitalized and provided necessary help to people in distress,” he said.
Dr. Bhatikar’s political rivals are a senior heavyweight experienced politician, and BJP candidate former MLA Ravi Naik, Congress Candidate Rajesh Verenkar, Independent Sandeep Khandeparkar, beside Beside other three candidates include Sanish Tilve (Revolutionary Goans Party), Surel Tilve (AAP) While Naresh Padwalkar (independent), however, Bhatikar is little worried about them.
He is relied upon his groundwork for the past five years.
