BORDA: Fatorda Police have registered a case against a man for allegedly harassing and threatening a woman on the evening of January 7, 2025. The incident reportedly took place between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM near Flex Gym, Borda, Fatorda.
According to the complainant, the accused, identified as Olencio Simoes, a resident of Baga, Cansaulim, followed her repeatedly in an attempt to foster personal interaction, despite her clear indications of disinterest. The situation escalated near Kundem Complex, Borda, where the accused allegedly used his black Scorpio car, reportedly bearing registration number GA-07-3382 (full number not confirmed), to wrongfully restrain the complainant while she was driving her vehicle.
The complainant further alleged that the accused threatened her with dire consequences during the confrontation.
Based on the complaint, Fatorda Police have registered an offense under sections 126(1)(2), 78(1)(i)(2), and 351 of the BNS 2023 Act. The case is currently being investigated by LPSI Riyanka Naik of Fatorda Police Station.
