Panaji: Congress on Thursday launched the ‘Jait Rath’ Campaign Vehicles and Missed Call Campaign ‘Haath Dega Saath, Badlenge Halaat’.
GPCC President Amit Patkar, Leader of opposition Yuri Alemao, MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira, MLA Alton Dcosta, North Goa Candidate Adv. Ramakant Khalap, Media Chairman Amarnath Panajikar and other leaders were present.
Amit Patkar said that people who want to support Congress can give a missed call on 9821821898 and thus party members will get in touch with people. “People have decided to elect our both candidates, Adv. Ramakant Khalap and Capt. Viriato Fernandes,” Patkar said.
He said that campaign vehicles will move in all assembly constituencies to make people aware of the ‘Nyay Guarantees’ announced by the Congress party.
He said that Goa is grappling with issues like unemployment and inflation and hence there is a need to bring change. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised in 2014 that mining will be restarted. But double engines have failed in the resumption of mining and also to create jobs,” Patkar said.
Yuri Aemao said that the party has received good response from across the state. “Double engine government has failed to credit Rs 15 lakhs in saving accounts of people. They have failed in all aspects and people have come to know about it,” Alemao said.
He said that INDIA block parties have come together to save Goa and its environment. “Both candidates will raise the local issues in Lok Sabha and will give ‘Nyay’ to people,” he said.
Panajikar also said that these campaign vehicles will move across the state to inform people about the Nyay guarantees launched by the Congress party.
