Panaji: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Tuesday protested against the atrocities on women under BJP govt.
“Entire Nation is grieving about the gruesome rape and murder incident in Hathras, but the insensitive, anti-dalit and anti-women BJP Government under PM Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath are protecting the rapists & murderers,” said the GPCC president Girish Chodankar.
“We strongly condemn that act of UP BJP MLA Rajveer Pahalwan who has openly supported the rapists of Hathras,” he said.
He said this is the culture of BJP which promotes the agenda of protecting Rapist Mafia, Terrorist Mafia, Murder Mafia, Dacoits Mafia, Drug Mafia, Murderers Mafia, Beggars Mafia, Corruption Mafia all across the Country.
He further demanded that justice must be given to the Hathras victim and her family.

MLA Sangeeta Parab, Victor Gonsalves, Vice President Sankalp Amonkar, Babi Bagkar, General Secretary Subhash Faldessai, Amarnath Panjikar, Janardhan Bhandari, Secretary Damodar Shirodkar, South Goa District Congress President Joseph Dias, North Goa District President Vijay Bhike, Youth Congress President Varad Mardolkar, Mahila Congress Social Media Incharge Roshani Dsilva, Royala Fernandes and todays protest incharge Vithu Morajkar and Congress workers participated in the protests.
Today, BJP is giving slogan of “Beti Bachav, Beti Padhav”. Going by the unfortunate event of burning the body of the young girl in the night without taking consent of her family, people will now be comepelled to add one more word to it, said Digambar Kamat.
“I am feeling completely devasted to hear the chronology of events in the gruesome rape and murder of the young girl. My condolences to her family. I compliment our leaders Rahul Gandhi & Priyanka Gandhi who had the heart to visit the grieving family of the victim girl who was cremated in the dark night without even allowing her family to pay their last respects,” stated Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat.
Former Minister Sangeeta Parab said that BJP is giving slogan of “Beti Bachav” but in BJP ruled Uttar Pradesh there are repeated incidents of rape and atrocities of women. Today the women in the country are completely feeling unsafe under Modi’s BJP rule.
Women activist and Congress Leader Arch. Royala Fernandes categorically stated that the Congress Party will fight for the rights of the women & common people and will continue to be the voice of the Citizens.
Mahila Congress Social Media Incharge Roshani Dsilva condemned the brutal rape and murder in Hathras.
Todays Silent Satyagraha Incharge Vithu Morajkar condemened the act of BJP government to supress the voice of Dalits. He also stated that the BJP government is patronizing the criminals and hence, the crime rates are growing in the Country. Youth Congress president Varad Mardolkar also spoke and condemened the act of UP government of torturing the family of the rape victim.
Various GPCC memebers, District and Block Committee members and other workers participated in the Satyagraha.
