Panaji: Under-Investigation for Corruption Minister receives Chief Justice of India. The next day, the Chief Justice of India shares the stage with the Defector Minister & MLA & says he is impressed with the ongoing Development in Goa. The same day, the High Court takes suo-moto cognizance of Illegal Structures across Goa. No Blindfold, KhullamKhulla, stated Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.
What was the development that impressed Chief Justice of India D.Y.Chandrachud? Is it the Mass Land Conversions and Hill Cuttings or Is it the Refusal of the BJP Government to declare Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary as Tiger Reserve? Is it Projects like Bhutani and Zuari which impressed CJI D. Y. Chandrachud? asked Amarnath Panjikar.
Atal Setu, Kala Academy, and Smart City Panaji have all become “Monuments of Corruption”. Lifeguards and Beach Cleaning Contracts as well as Events of Government are symbols of the “Mission Total Commission”, charged Amarnath Panjikar.
It is due to consistent delays in giving verdicts by Courts at various levels that Defector MLAs like Aleixo Sequeira a Cabinet Minister and Rudolfo Fernandes showed their presence at a Function which was attended by the very Legal Luminaries who have to decide on their Disqualifications, pointed out Amarnath Panjikar.
It is ironic that BJP Minister Mauvin Godinho who is himself facing trial for a corruption case received Chief Justice of India on his arrival in Goa. CJI should have inquired when the Foundation Stone of the Court Building was laid and what the actual Date of Completion was. The Session Court Building whose Roof was blown away a few months back is also an example of the “Corrupt Governance of BJP”, said Amarnath Panjikar.
Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud mentioned that the Blindfold is removed and the Constitution of India has replaced the Sword as a significant change to the “Statue of Justice”. I hope the Judiciary follows the symbolic change in Letter and Spirit and does not allow “Khullam Khulla” violations of Law and Constitution, said Amarnath Panjikar.
