PANAJI: MGP MLA and Minister Sudin Dhavalikar today has slammed the Congress over the issue of mining stating that it was Congress who was responsible for the closure of mining in Goa.
Sudin Dhavalikar was addressing the media after attending the NDA meeting in Panaji along with BJP leaders including Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
Addressing the media, Dhavalikar said that Congress responsible for the closure of mining, and railway double-tracking DPR too passed during UPA tenure.
“Congress manifesto also raises points actually started by themselves in previous tenures. BJP will win both LS seats,” said Sudin.
The MGP leader said that Congress tried to finish us by importing our leaders. But today they are facing the same fate and their leaders are joining the BJP.”
“Even the remaining three MLAs of the Congress will join some other parties. I am not saying they will join us but will join some other parties,” Sudin Dhavalikar, who was also minister in erstwhile Congress governments, said.
Dhavalikar claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for South Goa Pallavi Dempo will win the Lok Sabha seat by a minimum margin of 45,000 votes.
Dhavalikar said that the MGP vote share has gone up and it will help both the BJP candidates in North Goa and South Goa in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls to be held on May 7, 2024.
