PANAJI: AICC Observer for Goa Dinesh Gundu Rao has ruled out giving entry to 10 MLAs who deserted the party to join hands with BJP in 2019.
He also criticised the State government for its COVID19 management.
“People of Goa have suffered, youth of Goa has suffered, the projects those Goa doesn’t want, have been imposed on the state. The projects are destroying the environment of Goa. Ecology of the state,” he said.
Rao said the State government has lost it completely and needs to shown the door.
“The government has lost its popularity. They have no ethics no morals all they want is to grab the power. The BJP has disrespected the people, they disrespected the voter’s preference,” he said.
He said there is no morality left in this government and they will do everything that is illegal, everything that will help them gain power.
“That is what they are doing for the last 4 and half years. But now the time has come, the only political party which can defeat BJP is Congress. But we have to get the faith and trust of the people, because last time as they did vote for us but unfortunately we could not form our government. We need to gain the affection and faith of the people and for that we need to work very hard. For this we are going around every constituency,” he said.
Rao reiterated that if Congress comes to power in 2022, all the projects which are bad for the Goa state and are destroying the environment of Goa will be scrapped.
The people who had betrayed the Congress in 2019 want to
come back in the party.
“Some people want to come back in the Congress but we won’t take them back because our p[arty has some principles and morals,” he said.
He further said the State government has miserably failed in saving lives Goan people.
“So many people died because there was no medicine, no hospital bed and the government was irresponsible. There was no co-ordination in the government. Chief Minister was saying one thing Health Minister was saying another, there is no trust between each other,” he said.
