PANAJI: With the Special
Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls set to begin shortly across Goa, the Congress Party on Tuesday trained its Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to monitor the process and safeguard the sanctity of the voter lists.
The training, conducted by the Chief Electoral Office, was attended by Congress BLAs from across the state. The session focused on equipping them with the knowledge and preparedness required to detect irregularities and prevent voter manipulation at the booth level.
GPCC President Amit Patkar said the Party would remain vigilant against any attempt to tamper with voter lists. “Our trained BLAs will maintain strict vigilance during the SIR and beyond, ensuring that no manipulation, deletion, or voter theft is allowed. We owe it to the people of Goa to guarantee free, fair, and transparent elections,” he stated.
Patkar also accused the ruling BJP of attempting to exploit the revision process for political gain, warning that Congress would not hesitate to expose any malpractice.
Reiterating its stand, the Party said its BLAs will be the first line of vigilance, working in coordination with the Election Commission to ensure transparency and protect every Goan’s right to vote.
