ANJUNA: A 52-year-old construction worker died after falling from the first floor of a construction site near the Anjuna Panchayat on Monday afternoon.
According to police, at around 3.51 pm on December 15, 2025, PCR Panaji received a phone call informing that a male person had fallen from the first floor of a construction site near the Anjuna Panchayat and was seriously injured. Acting on the information, PSI Ramesh Harijan rushed to the spot and conducted an enquiry with the labourers present at the site.
Police said the deceased has been identified as Indrajeet Chik, son of Ritbhanjan Baraik, aged 52 years, a native of Village Tenariya Khihur Toli, Tengariya, Gumla district, Jharkhand. Preliminary enquiry revealed that the deceased lost his balance while carrying a ladder on the first floor of the construction site and fell onto the ground floor.
He sustained serious injuries in the fall and succumbed to the injuries on the spot, police said.
Further procedures are being carried out by the police.
