Stating that the State Government has initiated steps and embarked upon a mission to rejuvenate the functioning of Government Departments Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today emphasized the need to expedite the efforts by the Government Officers to make the administration responsive to the peoples needs and deliver prompt, transparent and efficient Governance to the people of the State.
Addressing at a workshop on the theme Vision 2020-2025 organized by CMO for the Officers/Officials of the Department of Information and Publicity in the city today the Chief Minister directed the DIP to prepare its action plan incorporating short term and long term programmes and to ensure its effective implementation.
The Chief Minister stressed on proper planning coupled with positive outlook and said the DIP which is the Nodal Agency of the Government is in fact the eyes and ears of the government and as such the officers attached to this office should focus on innovative things and work 24/7 to counter the wrong news appearing in various media platforms. So far 17 review meetings were held with departments.
Chief Secretary Parimal Rai, IAS, Director, Department of Information and Publicity, Smt Meghna Shetgaonkar, Jt. Director Shri Ramesh Naik and Shri Prakash Naik and Allwyn Pereira both Information Officers were present.
In this regards series of workshops were held by Dr. Pratibha, Social Scientist, OSD to Chief Minister with Ministers, Secretaries, Additional Secretaries and HODs of various departments with an aim to accomplish the goal as regards to responsive Government.
