MARGAO: A case has been registered at the Margao Town Police Station against Viresh Nagvenkar and his wife for allegedly trespassing into a shop at TNK, near Bank of India, Margao, and committing theft.
According to the complaint lodged by Sonita Lotlikar, a resident of Comba, Margao, the incident occurred prior to September 7, 2025. The accused, acting with common intention, allegedly broke open the locks of her tenanted shop, stole jewellery and furniture items, and then locked the premises with their own locks, thereby restraining her from entering the shop.
The complainant further stated that when she confronted them, the accused persons abused her in filthy language and threatened her and her employee with dire consequences, including threats to kill, reportedly over a dispute regarding the shop.
Police said the matter is under investigation by PSI Shubham Gaunkar of Margao Town Police Station.
