PANAJI: The Judicial Magistrate First Class court in Margao has extended the police custody of Dr. Samuel Arawattigi, the doctor accused in the sexual assault case involving a nurse, for an additional four days.
Cuncolim Police Inspector Diogo Gracias confirmed that the court ordered the extension of Dr. Samuel’s police custody. He was arrested by Cuncolim police for allegedly assaulting a nurse employed at his hospital in Chinchinim.
The investigation is ongoing, with the police continuing to gather evidence and question witnesses. Dr. Samuel remains in police custody while the inquiry into the assault case progresses.
