The Deadly COVID19 claimed three more lives on Tuesday even as 174 new cases were reported with 88 recoveries.
The DHS bulletin reads, “Out of three deaths zone did in the COVID hospital, while the two other died before testing. One male 65 years from Gogo-Margao, admitted at ESI COVID hospital, Margao with co-morbid conditions expired today. Another patient, a female from Birla Zuarinagar expired while being shifted from GMC to ESI COVID hospital,” it said.
Further, it added, “Last night, another male 51 years from Khorlim, Mapusa was brought dead, who was found to be positive in postmortem.”
While people have been dying, 26 so far, not many recovered patients are coming forward to donate their plasma.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane announced that 11 persons have so far donated plasma.
“It gives me immense pleasure to inform that as of today, we have received 11 COVID recovered patients who volunteered to donate their convalescent plasma. Our Plasma donation appeal is slowly pacing forward,” Rane announced on social media.
“I extend gratitude to all the 11 donors for their noble gesture and selfless contribution in this fight against #COVID19. I would like to reiterate and appeal to all the patients who have recovered 28 days ago, that it is your time to be a Corona warrior. Be wise and donate Plasma,” he said.
