PANAJI: All the shops and establishments, selling non-essential items are asked to shut their operations till May 10, as part of the State-wide restrictions imposed to curb the COVID19 spread.
Also the restaurants and hotels, which were initially permitted to operate from 7..0am to 7.00pm with 50 per cent capacity, are also directed to close of dine-in.
In a tweet, the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that the Government understands concerns of Goan citizens in this pandemic.
“Additional Restrictions are being imposed on shops selling non-essential items till 10th May,” he tweeted.
” Restaurants will cease to function, except their kitchens for home delivery of food items,” he added.
The restrictions, which came into force from April 29 evening, have been extended till 6.00am of May 10.
Government has currently allowed only essential services like grocery shops, banks, petrol pumps, pharmacies, etc to function.
The casinos, bars, pubs, cinema theatre, malls, are amongst those which are not allowed to operate during this period.
