Covid Warrior Dr Suyog Samuel Arawattigi joins AAP!; Strengthens party hold in Velim

PANAJI: Covid Warrior Dr Suyog Samuel Arawattigi joined AAP today. Dr Arawattigi joined Aam Aadmi Party today in Panaji in AAP Vice President Valmiki Naik, General Secretary Gerson Gomes & Velim Assembly in charge Cruz Silva.
Dr Arawattigi is a well known Covid Warrior and is known in Velim as a Dr who has saved many lives. He is the former President of IMA Margao & IMA Goa and the present president of General Practitioners Association Goa.
For the last 22 years, he has been in the medical field. The Dr joined AAP on the back of Arvind Kejriwals Globally renowned Healthcare model.
Arvind Kejriwal’s healthcare model has global and national fame. It has been appreciated by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and is being emulated by others in India. When the Govt was sleeping in Goa during the second wave, the AAP Govt was seen saving lives daily. Lakhs of people from neighbouring states flooded the hospitals of Delhi, but yet the Kejriwal Govt was able to find space for them all.  The AAP Govt’s home Isolation model saved many lives and prevented an overburdening of beds, while the Sawant Sarkar could not even provide home isolation kits to many.
Many Goans suffered due to the inaction of the Sawant Sarkar, which saw a large number of oxygen deaths and a callous administration that could not even maintain the few hospitals that Goa has. Goenkars were seen scrambling for oxygen and medications and relying on each other while the Govt was missing in action. The only way to end this is to bring the Kejriwal model to Goa.
“I have been helping people via many platforms, so I finally decided to join AAP to be able to help people on a much larger scale. I have aligned with their vision and ideology. I have heard about AAP and their pathbreaking work in healthcare, and I have also physically seen AAP’s work in Delhi. Whenever I have gone for medical conferences,” said Dr Suyog Samuel Arawattigi, “A person who meets with an accident is treated for free. The Person who helps is also rewarded. Our PHCs must be upgraded like Mohalla Clinics with all facilities likes X rays and other tests. Only then can we reduce the load on existing hospitals and reduce the strain on common Goenkars, and only AAP can do this. While I worked during Covid second wave, I saw how each Goenkar suffered mental and financial stress. AAP is the only party that can change this. Despite not having a single MLA, they were seen on the ground helping people with food, oximeters, oxygen cylinders and a medical helpline that worked when the Govt failed. This is why I want to work with AAP and serve my constituency and the state. Goa needs AAP,” added Dr Arawattigi.
