CANACONA: Loliem-Polem panchayat has availed 2.5 cr of funds for the last term and expects 3.5 cr during the current term of the panchayat, informed Ex-Sarpanch and panch of Loliem-Polem Ajay (Ajit) Lolienkar.
Lolienkar was speaking to thank Speaker and Canacona Ramesh Tawadkar who earlier launched the installation of Crash- Barriers along the road near the railway station at Pedem, under the jurisdiction of Village Panchayat Lolem-Polem.
‘This project, aimed at enhancing road safety and preventing accidents, reflects a commitment to safeguarding commuters and pedestrians.’, stated Tawadkar, after garlanding the stone for commencement of the erection of Crash-Barrier works.
Village sarpanch Nisha Chari, panch members and local residents were also present.
Speaking on the occasion on behalf of Loliem –Polem panchayat, Ex- Sarpanch and panch Ajit (Ajay) Lolienkar praising Tawadkar said this panchayat has availed GI Funds over 2.5 cr during previous term, will be more benefitted as due to the efforts of Speaker Tawadkar this years Loliem Polem panchayat will be getting GI funds worth over 3.5 cr this term.
Ajay Lolienkar also said one of a kind beautification is taking place in the village as a ‘Treveni sangam’ around and surrounding a Church, Temple and Panchayat, besides road widenings, black topping, and many other works for the benefits of the public at large.
