PANJIM: Crime Branch has arrested 3 persons for running a IPL betting racket at Morjim. One laptop and LED screen each, 8 mobiles phones & cash of Rs 19200 has been seized.
As per the information, the raid was conducted at a hotel in Morjim. Three persons namely, Bhoja Yadav, Sandeep Patel and Krishnakant all natives of Hyderabad have been arrested under sections
U/s 3 and 4 of Goa Daman and Diu Prevention of Public Gambling Act 1976.
Crime Branch was conducted under PI Maguesh Valvaikar, PI Rahul T. Parab, PI Narayan Chimulkar.
“The trio was using high end sophisticated software for placing bets.” sources said
