PANAJI: In separate raids, Crime Branch has arrested Rajesh Devar, 38 YO and Pandurang Pakhare 47 YO while in possession of 10kg and 4kg ganja respectively.
Orime Branch team led by PI Laxi on March 1 arrested one Rajesh @ Raju Devar age 38 years r/o Quepem with possession of over 5kg Ganja in Margao. Upon interrogation it was found that the accused had procured Ganja for the purpose of sale locally and to tourists in South Goa.
Further in another raid on today Crime Branch team led by PI Narayan Chimulkar arrested one Pandurang Pakhare age 47 yrs r/o Ahmednagar with possession of over 4kg Ganja at Mapusa Bus Stand. Upon interrogation it was found that the accused had brought Ganja to Goa for supplying to tourists and locals in North Goa.
2 separate FIRs are registered. Further investigation in both cases is ongoing.
