ALDONA: Cross complaints have been registered following a violent altercation between two parties at Aldona on April 4, with both sides accusing each other of trespass and assault.
According to police, Melwyn Francis Fernandes (49), a resident of Goncoi, Aldona, alleged that at around 3:20 pm, Savio Lobo of Goncoi, Aldona, criminally trespassed into his restaurant, La Boneta, at Santarxette, Aldona, and assaulted him with metal shock absorbers following a dispute over not allowing authorities to inspect the complainant’s house.
The complainant sustained bodily injuries. Further investigation is being conducted by ASI Ajay Gaonkar.
In a cross complaint, Francila Fernandes of Coimawado, Aldona, alleged that at around 3:15 pm the same day, Melwyn Francis Fernandes and Schinieder Fernandes, both residents of Goncoi, Aldona, along with an unknown male, allegedly trespassed into the house of her brother Savio Lobo at Goncoi, Aldona.
The accused allegedly abused him, threatened him with dire consequences, and assaulted him with weapons causing serious bodily injuries.
The complaint further stated that the accused also damaged household items belonging to Savio Lobo, resulting in an estimated loss of around Rs. 1 lakh.
Further investigation in the matter is in progress with PSI M. Palni.
