PANAJI: The Cuncolim Educational Society’s College of Arts & Commerce emerged victorious at the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Women’s Kabaddi Championship 2025-26, held on 4th and 5th September at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Goa University.
Cuncolim College defeated Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts & Commerce, Pernem, with a thrilling scoreline of 49-43 in the final to claim the championship.
In the semifinals, Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye College secured a 63-48 win over GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce and Economics, Farmagudi, while Cuncolim College dominated Shree Mallikarjun and Shri Chetan Manju Desai College, Canacona, with a 42-12 victory to advance to the final.
The best player award went to Savita Raikar of Cuncolim College for her outstanding performance throughout the tournament. A total of 18 women’s teams participated in the championship, showcasing the growing talent in collegiate kabaddi across Goa.

Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye College Women’s Team: Sakshi Kaskar, Neha Mavlankar, Gayatri Raut, Suhani Gawade, Priya Gawade, Prachi Mahale, Diya Jadhav, Akshata Rane, Bhagyashri Wadar, Aachal Gad, Arpita Malekar, Karishma Singh, Sweta Shet, Sujal Naik, Priyanka Gawade.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Prof. Brahma Edwin Barretto, Principal of Cuncolim College, and Mr. Avidh Morajkar, Assistant Sports Officer, Goa University, who presented medals and trophies to the winners and runners-up.
Cuncolim College’s victory highlighted their consistent performance and strategic gameplay, cementing their position as a powerhouse in women’s collegiate kabaddi.
