CUNCOLIM: A case of cheating has been registered by Cuncolim Police following a complaint by Vishal Agarwal, Director of M/s Sunrise Electromelt Private Limited, based in the Cuncolim Industrial Estate.
Agarwal accused a driver of dishonestly diverting a consignment of structural steel—comprising MS channels, MS flats, MS angles, MS squares, and beams, totaling 29.200 MT—that was entrusted to him for delivery from Cuncolim to Southern Steel Traders in Hubli, Karnataka. The goods were supposed to be delivered to Holalkere in Chitradurga, Karnataka, but the complainant alleged that the driver failed to deliver the consignment and misappropriated it instead.
As a result, the complainant claims a financial loss of Rs 16,74,055. The police have begun their investigation into the incident and are taking the necessary legal actions against the accused driver.
