PANAJI: In the case of the schoolgirl assault, Panaji Children’s Court has granted anticipatory bail to the headmistress and class teacher of a school located in Cuncolim.
The headmistress and the class instructor have both been ordered to be released by the court on bail of Rs 25,000 each, along with an identical guarantee in case of arrest.
The duo has been ordered by the Children’s Court to report to the Cuncolim police station for ten days in order to conduct investigations, among other requirements.
Following the Cuncolim police’s filing of a formal complaint under the Goa Children’s Act regarding the girl student’s attack by other students, the two went before the Goa Children’s Court.
Following the parents’ and the villagers’ protest at the Cuncolim police station, the case was subsequently moved to the Women’s Police Station.
