CURCHOREM: Post lockdown from April 30, there ahs been a dip in new COVID19 cases and as such the Curchorem municipality has decided to continue restrictions.
The President of the Market Association of Curchorem along with the members took a collective decision and went for a self-lockdown from the 30th of April until the 5th of May in view of the rising cases in Curchorem.
“Looking at the dip in the number of new cases we seem to be on the right track and wish for this to continue in the future as well. It is wonderful to see how people on their own are now realising the importance of the lockdown. It’s not an easy decision do make but it is required and I congratulate each one’s effort.” Mr Rocha Pereira said.
He also said that post 5th of May although they wish to open the markets the association and business committee have agreed to go ahead with observing restrictions with regard to the same to curb the spread of the second wave.
