PANAJI: Terming the Curchorem scandal as “very sensitive,” Goa Director General of Police Alok Kumar said the case has been handed over to the Crime Branch to ensure a professional probe.
He stated that protecting the identity of the minor victim remains the top priority, adding that the Crime Branch has the required expertise and resources to handle the investigation effectively and with due sensitivity.
Alok Kumar said the transfer of the case aims to ensure a thorough and confidential investigation, considering the seriousness of the matter. He assured that the probe will be conducted in a professional manner and appropriate action will follow based on the findings.
