Curtorim face Cuncolim in finals

MARGAO: Curtorim Gymkhana defeated Raia Sporting Club by solitary goal to move into the final of the Gold Silver Rolling trophy inter-village football tournament organized by Navelim Sporting Club and played at Rosary church ground on Sunday.
Curtorim Gymkhana missed the scoring opportunities through Milagres Fernandes, Anselm Fernandes in the first 20th and 30th minutes while Raia also wasted chances in the 35th and 40th minutes through Oilex Oliveira and Joston Barbosa.
Anselm Fernandes scored the all-important goal in the second session due to a defence error for Curtorim Gymkhana and was later declared as Man of the match. The finals will be played on 2nd October 2024
Man of the Match award given to Ansulem Fernandes by Fr. Clive Dias Parish Priest of Navelim.
