MARGAO: Curtorim Gymkhana Defeats Carmona SC 4-0 to Secure Semifinal Spot in Lourdes Festival Soccer.
Curtorim Gymkhana delivered a dominating performance to defeat Carmona Sports Club 4-0, advancing to the semifinals of the All-Goa Inter-Village Football Tournament organized by UC Utorda in memory of Late Nicholas Rodrigues.
The match, part of the Lourdes Festival Soccer, showcased Curtorim’s strong gameplay, with Joywin Carneiro opening the scoring in the 21st minute, followed by Aliston Fernandes adding another in the 30th minute. Despite some missed opportunities in the first half, Curtorim maintained their momentum.
In the second half, Ryan Fernandes sealed the victory with a goal in the 35th minute. Carmona SC made attempts to fight back but could not convert their chances.
Joywin Carneiro was awarded Man of the Match, presented by Elvis Mendes in the presence of Tony Vincent Fernandes.
