CURTORIM: A late-night collision between two motorcycles at Vagule, Ramnagari, has left two individuals injured, one of whom is alleged to have been riding without a valid driving license.
The incident occurred at around 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, when Shivraj Borat, a resident of Curtorim and native of Koppal, Karnataka, was riding his Yamaha MT motorcycle from Maina Curtorim towards Ramnagari.
According to police sources, Borat was riding in a rash and negligent manner when he collided head-on with an oncoming Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle.
The rider of the Royal Enfield, Benny Lydio Fernandes, sustained injuries in the crash, along with the accused himself. Both were reportedly taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
A police complaint has been filed by ASI Suresh Velip of Maina Curtorim Police Station, who confirmed that Borat was not in possession of a valid driving license at the time of the accident.
Further investigation into the matter is currently underway under the supervision of ASI Velip.
