Shiroda: A Cyber Awareness Session was conducted on Wednesday at Adarsh Vidya Prasarak Mandal’s Smt. Kamalabai Hede High School, Shiroda, with the objective of educating students on the safe and responsible use of the internet.
The session was delivered by Allen Pauly Payappilly, Cyber Yoddha – Goa Police, who sensitised students on key cyber safety issues such as cyberbullying, online scams, phishing, password protection, gaming-related risks and responsible behaviour on social media platforms.
The programme was organised as part of a community work initiative by Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Goa Police and Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA).
Students actively participated in the session and raised queries related to online threats, cybercrime and digital security, which were addressed during the interaction.
The initiative aimed to empower young internet users with the knowledge required to stay alert and informed in the digital world. The session was well received and helped create awareness about using technology safely and responsibly.
