Ponda: The 5th edition of the Daivadnya Carrom Tournament 2025 was successfully held on 20th July at Daivadnya Hall, Ponda. Organised by the Akhil Gomantakiya Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association in association with the Ponda Daivadnya Brahmin Samaj and supported by the Goa Carrom Association, the tournament saw enthusiastic participation from over 100 players across various age groups, showcasing the growing interest in the sport within the community. The event was inaugurated by Smt. Seema Rohit Vernekar, President of AGDBYA, and Mr. Deepak Lotlikar, President of the Ponda Daivadnya Samaj. Chief Guest Mr. Kishor Pandurang Lotlikar, Ex-Assistant Director of Transport, RTO Goa, graced the occasion. A special felicitation was held for Miss Tanishka Prashant Vernekar for her notable achievements in Lagori, representing Goa at the national level. In the tournament, Svanik Lotlikar emerged as runner-up in the Kid’s category, Shruti Vernekar won the Women’s title, Shyam Raikar claimed victory in the Veteran’s category, and Rutvik Nagzarkar was crowned the Men’s champion. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by AGDBYA Secretary Mr. Sahil Devdatt Lotlikar, with organizers expressing gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and supporters while promising an even more exciting edition next year.
