Margao: Daivadnya Samaj Margao, in association with the Akhil Gomantakiya Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association (AGDBYA), organised its 16th blood donation and free medical check up camp on December 19, 2025.
The programme was held in the presence of Daivadnya Samaj Margao president Ramakant Raikar and AGDBYA president Seema Rohit Vernekar, who welcomed the chief guests and attendees.
Dr Sudhir Shet, Director of Horizon and IJNHS Sunshine Hospitals, was the chief guest, while Dr Ravin Rego, Head of the Hospicio Blood Bank, attended as the guest of honour.
Over 50 donors voluntarily donated blood at the camp, and many beneficiaries availed themselves of the free medical check up facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rego praised both organisations for sustaining such blood donation drives for the last 15 years. Dr Shet highlighted the urgent need to build awareness about health insurance among the public.
The programme was compered by Pawan Rangnekar. Kishor Rivonkar proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the support of donors, guests, medical staff and volunteers in making the initiative successful.
