VASCO: In the wake of the sudden removal of Minister Govind Gaude from the Goa cabinet, BJP state president Damodar Naik has indicated that more political changes may be on the horizon, including potential reshuffles in the Pramod Sawant-led cabinet.
Speaking to the media, Naik said, “I’m not saying no… there are changes. Wait for the right time.” He refrained from sharing specific details but confirmed that the vacant cabinet berth would be filled soon by an MLA.
Commenting on Gaude’s ouster, Naik maintained that it was a decision taken by the Chief Minister and the state government, following discussions with central leadership. “It is the CM’s call. I cannot comment on that. I speak only for the party,” he said.
The statement comes amid rising speculation of internal reshuffles and strategic adjustments within the BJP’s Goa unit, following Gaude’s allegations of corruption in the Tribal Welfare Department and his subsequent dismissal.
