MORJIM: Pernem Police has booked a Bangalore resident for rash driving and operating an uninsured vehicle after the video went viral on social media.
On Tuesday, around 5 pm at Morjim, Pernem, a video surfaced on social media showing the accused performing dangerous stunts in a Fortuner car (HR-29-AE-8020), with occupants hanging out of the vehicle.
One Sayed Riyan (25 yrs, R/o Bangalore) was booked under Sec 184(f) & 196 of the MV Act for rash driving and operating an uninsured vehicle.
The vehicle and the accused were traced at Calangute by Calangute PS staff. During the inquiry, the accused admitted to the offence. The vehicle was found uninsured. Necessary challan issued as per law.
