PANAJI: The DBO–Edcon Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025 concluded on a high note at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, showcasing some of Goa’s best young and senior paddlers. Organized by Don Bosco Oratory in association with the Goa Table Tennis Association and supported by Edcon Developers, the championship delivered top-class action and drew a vibrant crowd throughout the event.
In the Men’s Singles, top seed Aaron Farias captured the title with a commanding 4–1 victory over Anshuman Agarwal (12–10, 7–11, 11–3, 11–2, 11–9). The Women’s Singles final saw an intense contest, where Pradnya Caro fought back brilliantly to edge out Neeza Kamat 3–2 (4–11, 11–5, 6–11, 11–6, 11–6).
The junior divisions featured equally exciting performances. Chandan Caro dominated the boys’ categories, securing both the Under-15 and Under-17 titles. He defeated Vedant Wagle 3–0 in the U15 final and overcame Ruhaan Shaikh 3–1 in U17. Matching his feat, Ishita Colaso clinched a memorable double in the girls’ section, beating Aarna Lotlikar 3–0 in U15 and Neeza Kamat 3–1 in U17.
In the youngest categories, Ishaan Colaso displayed fine resilience to win the Boys U11 title after a hard-fought 3–2 win over Ashank Dalvi (5–11, 11–6, 5–11, 11–8, 11–8). Shaurya Dessai completed the list of champions, securing the Girls U11 crown with a solid 3–1 victory against Aarna Walavalkar (9–11, 11–8, 11–7, 11–4).
The tournament celebrated the growing depth of table tennis talent in Goa, with players across all age groups exhibiting remarkable skill, sportsmanship and passion for the game.
