Panjim: The DBO–Edcon All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025 at Don Bosco Oratory has entered its final stage, with Ishita Colaso, Aarna Lotlikar, and Neeza Kamat emerging as the top contenders in the girls’ categories after a series of gripping encounters.
In the Under-15 Girls division, top seed Ishita Colaso displayed her trademark consistency, defeating Samaira Verlekar 3-1 in the quarterfinals before producing a flawless 3-0 victory over Inara D’Souza in the semifinals. Inara, who had earlier caused a major upset by edging out third seed Gianna George 3-2, bowed out after an impressive run.
On the opposite side of the draw, second seed Aarna Lotlikar survived a close 3-2 thriller against Tisha Shaikh in the quarters and then outclassed Sachi Desai 3-0 in the semifinals. Sachi had earlier overcome Aayushi Amonkar 3-1 in her quarterfinal match. With both top seeds living up to expectations, the U15 final between Ishita and Aarna promises to be a closely fought contest.
In the Under-17 Girls category, Ishita continued her remarkable form, advancing to yet another final. She defeated Samaira Verlekar 3-0 in the quarterfinals and repeated the scoreline against Samaira Soares in the semis. Second seed Neeza Kamat also impressed with her dominant performances, sweeping aside Aarna Lotlikar 3-0 in the quarters and prevailing 3-1 over Gianna George in the semifinals. Earlier, Samaira Soares had edged past Sanisha Sinha 3-2, while Gianna comfortably beat Aayushi Amonkar 3-0.
Organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, in collaboration with the Goa Table Tennis Association and supported by Edcon Developers, the tournament has brought together Goa’s most promising young paddlers, setting the stage for an exciting final showdown this weekend.
