Dead body washes ashore on turtle nesting Galgibagha beach

CANACONA: A dead body of an unidentified male person believed to be in his sixties has been washed ashore on the turtle nesting at Galgibagha beach on Friday.
Police informed that they were informed about the dead body, which had washed ashore on Galgibagha beach by the locals who first saw the body on Friday afternoon.
Police also informed that the body is in a highly decomposed state and looks to be of a man in his sixties, and they are investigating to find out the identity of the person.
Sources at the Canacona police station added that a man is reportedly missing from Karwar, and they are ascertaining whether it is the same person.
After conducting the scene, panchanama police have sent the body for preservation and post mortem thereafter sources informed.
