ARPORA: Continuing his tirade against the State government, Minister for Waste Management, Ports and RDA Michael Lobo has threatened a major stir if Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant does not make an illegal decision construction at Old Goa.
Speaking at the inauguration of a chapel at Arpora, Lobo said that it is a matter of great shame as constructions are happening on heritage places, and the government is keeping quiet.
“I am happy that the people have awaken and a moment an agitation has started against teh said construction in heritage zone,” he said.
Lobo further gave an ultimatum to teh CM to decide within 48 hours or face agitation.
“If the Chief Minister does not decide within two days, there will be an agitation of 3 lakh people. The people of Goa will decide as we are here to protect each and every religion,” he said.
He added, “We are here to see that no religious place which is marked as heritage zone is being encroached upon. Somebody just comes and does whatever they want, this cannot be tolerated,” he said.
“I feel said that people have to come on road, but I think people of Goa are doing good by coming out for such noble cause,” he said.
He said the Goencho saib is requesting people of every religion to save his heritage zone place.
