CALANGUTE: Calangute police on September 29, 2025, registered U.D. No. 56/2025 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) after receiving information from an unknown caller at around 12.53 pm regarding a body lying in a decomposed state. Police rushed to the spot and found the body of an unidentified male near Our Lady of Boa Viagem Chapel at Naika Waddo, Calangute, Bardez. The body was later shifted to GMC, Bambolim, for preservation and medico-legal formalities. Further enquiry is being carried out by Calangute police.
